I still haven't gotten another, yet.

Having had so many of them and going through this so many times I have been feeling a bit 'drained' emotionally, so much that I have just been unable to 'do it again' thus far.

However, I know the story, it has happened here a few times. When my first girl, Blaze, passed away she sent another to me. It just 'happened' and it turned out to be a 9 year old girl who was half sister to Blaze. I didn't know that until a good year *after* I'd adopted the girl (her name was Beebe). She came to me in *my* dream though however. :) Still that was just the first time this sort of thing happened to me. 19 greyhounds in total (9 living with me at one time) and I am now down to just 1. One of these days I know it will happen again.

Enjoy your sweet girl. Lots of hugs to you and scritches to the hounds.Sistertexhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14944458164626912003noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3729368127518690658.post-41270040935980469012010-12-03T12:32:06.154-05:002010-12-03T12:32:06.154-05:00Oh gosh, congrats on the new little lady! I remember him way back during middle school. Three families (mine included) took care of him.

Two of those families moved away, and it was up to my family to take care of him. So, Monster actually became a third cat in our family during his last year with us - instead of just a visitor.

Painfully, my mom and I took him to our vet after a month-long roller coaster ride with liver complications, and he was put to sleep on July 7, 2008.

Let me tell you that I did not recover from this quickly, either. He also was the first animal that I've ever dealt with putting to sleep.

Not too long after, I went to visit Justin (this was before we lived together,) and his cat. One day, I glanced over at her, and saw Monster. I had to do a double-take. No, when I looked again, Monster wasn't sitting there - it was Kay. She was standing peacefully in the sunshine shining through the window.

I was convinced that Monster was communicating to me that he, too, was in a happy place, basking in the sun somewhere.

I also can NOT see a coincidence in the events that led you to adopt your new Bat Girl! Girlie Girl's passing, your random bumping in to Carol, Carol's dream that inspired you to take a trip to the kennel. All of these are NO coincidence.

Wonderful story :-)Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17228312455137078107noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3729368127518690658.post-92151077062953287422010-12-02T23:50:43.866-05:002010-12-02T23:50:43.866-05:00Thank you so much for sharing this story.
